Westwood Wahoos Swim Team

Summer Swim League

The Westwood Wahoos swim team participates in the ABE Suburban Swim league. Practices begin June 1st in the afternoons and continue through the end of July. Participants get to compete in six swim meets and with potential to represent the Wahoos at championship events in July.

All kids from ages 5–18-year-old are encouraged to participate! To join the swim team, your child must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 meters) independently. For diving, your child must be able to jump off the diving board either feet-first or head-first.

Team Registration Dues 2026

  • $90 for each of your first two athletes

  • $60 for each additional athlete

Parents & Volunteers

The swim meets run on volunteer power! Each family is required to volunteer during the regular season. There is something for everyone: from grilling, selling concessions, timing races, swimmer wrangling, running time sheets, coordinating team picnics, and donating food items. Our league has largely moved to a points based system for parent volunteering of time and donations to concessions and events and we have decided to do the same.
